Chances at Penn State University Park (& others)

Hi everyone :) Penn State is one of my dream colleges so I wanted to relieve some stress by seeing if I have a chance!

My weighted cumulative GPA is 101.66 (my school doesn't do a 4.0 scale)
I am ranked either first or second in my class of about 70
I took my SATs once in May and scored 1780: 570 Reading, 620 Math, 590 writing.
I plan to retake my SATs in the fall, with a goal of getting above an 1800.
I am a white female living in Pennsylvania, and plan to pursue Chemical Engineering

I have taken...
AP World History
AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry
CIHS English

I also plan to dual enroll at one of Penn State's satellite colleges close to home.

Extra Circulars:
A Member of the National Honor society with more than 50hrs of service thus far
Marching band for 6 years, playing Clarinet for 9 years (yes, I am interested in the Blue Band!)
I've participated in various honors bands. My highest accomplishment was at a regional level
I've participated in Science and Mathematics competitions in the district
Two time participant in the Pennsylvania Envirothon
and many more, that are specific to my community and my region of Pennsylvania.

In addition, I plan to apply to..
The University of Pittsburgh
Ohio State
Villanova (this one may be out of reach)

If you can get your standardized test scores up (say, 1900/29+), I would say aim higher! You never know what can happen with admissions.

Thank you kitts95! Standardized tests aren’t really a strength of mine. I would love to get my score up to 1800-1900, so I have some prep books I’m going to look at this summer.

bump bump bump
