Chances at Penn State University Park??

I am from Pennsylvania.

SAT: 1850

GPA: 4.0; mostly all honors/AP classes

Extra Curricular: Track & Field for 4 years, Class Treasurer, Volunteered at daycares and elementary schools, Worked part-time at a daycare

Also, I am taking 4 classes at one of Penn State's satellite campuses during my senior year of high school. I would be willing to do Summer Session also.

What do you think my chances are of being accepted to Penn State U Park?

Thanks!

I’m not sure if this would make any difference, but both of my parents graduated from Penn State.

Try to get your SAT to 2000 and then I will be sure that you will get in.

Your chances are good.
PSU: Solid Match

PSU: Low match/Match

Low Match for PSU

You’ll easily get in.

Your SAT scores do seem a little low compared to your GPA and course load.

Penn state has said your grades/GPA is 2/3 of your admissions decision and your SAT scores are certainly above average for the school.

Half of my schools graduates end up getting in or going and most of them have 3.5-4.0 GPA’s and 1600/1700 SAT scores.

Summer Session also boosts your chances a little and is great to do even if you aren’t forced to go because of less competitive credentials. I don’t think anyone regrets it and LEAP also has a good reputation.
