So I am a senior this year and I live in North Carolina in Wake County (Raleigh). I am looking to apply to Penn State, UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, Appalachian, and ECU. I hope to study Pre-Med and major in Business Administration. My grades have never been stellar, but last year my course load was intense, AP Chem (the hardest class in the school), APUSH, AP Psych and Pre calc. This is really embarassing to say but I got CCCD in those classes simply because I was not up to the rigors that Chem provided. My grades have not been terrible though, As and Bs, but its just last semester that threw me for a loop. Im recovering and I am in AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Econ, and Intro to college math Honors, next semester AP English IV, Med Science II, Honors Physics, and Bio, and I WILL make all As in those classes. I have an 1810 (610 math, 650 writing (got an 11 on the essay!) and a 550 on the reading (am working to bring the raw score to 2000)). I also have my AP Chemistry teacher writing my recommendation as she was my swim coach, and I cared a lot about her class.

My unweighted is 2.98 and weighted 3.5. I have partaken in many extracurriculars though, Varsity XC, Swimming, and Track, all of which I am captains of and have done all four years (except track which I did not do last year). I have founded and am Co-President of the Chemistry club (of which AP Chem is a pre requisite), Key Club this year, Photography club for 3 years, and I am an Eagle Scout with lots of experience in the troop, I was a member of a leadership program (10 students out of 31 selected). I have been a life guard for 3 years and I am getting CPO (Certified pool operator) and am probably going to be Assistant manager next season, and I have started a landscaping service for the past 5 years.

I am wondering, what are my chances at Penn State (I have 3 legacies) and UNC Chapel Hill (1 Legacy)? They are my two dream schools. Thank you so much for having an open mind and not judging (: It is really embarrassing to talk about last semester.
