Thanks so much!

Academic stats are great for a junior. Keep the GPA high and don’t forget the SAT IIs, obviously!

You didn’t mention which college you’re interested in: Nursing? Wharton? Engineering? CAS?

If you’re interested in Wharton or SEAS; it would be better to take more APs in science and math rather than history…

EC’s are just OK! Not great! Just OK! Don’t get me wrong! You’re a fantastic junior, but it is Penn we are talking about!

In general: As much as I learned about you, nothings stands out! (major awards, honors!) You could be a great student, with a great personality and background who could write a mind blowing essay! But, you still need more to get into Penn…

Hi, thanks so much for your help! I know I need to improve my EC’s, I’m just not sure how! Since it’s already halfway through junior year, I am afraid that colleges will see right through me joining a bunch of extracurriculars right now. Is this true? What should I do?

They will see through you joining a bunch of clubs and activities now. Plus they would rather see quality in your activities then quantity. So one good way to improve them would be to take on some leadership roles in the activities you already do.

Joining some right now is better that doing nothing. Plus, I’ve never said don’t continue what you do right now!!!

BTW, You didn’t say your intended major. Your ECs and your intended major (and generally your whole app) should have a consistent theme. (A physics, a techy person etc.)
