Chances at Pharmacy Schools??? DESPERATE!!

Hello!

I'm currently an undergrad at Brandeis (graduating May, 06)
GPA: 2.9
Major: Computer Science, Minor Chemistry

EC's:
- varsity sailing
- indoor rock climbing
- photography and drawing
- web design

Languages:
- Russian
- German

Work/Volunteer Experience:
- 2 years as professional Software Engineer/Web Developer
- Pharmacy assistant volunteer (only for last few months)
- Emergency Room volunteer (100 hours total)
- Chemistry tutor (~10 hrs/wk)
- Technical Support intern (100 hours total)

Recommendations:
1. My Chemistry Professor - it will be okay
2. The Director of the clinic where I volunteer as a Pharmacy assistant - probably quite good

Grades:
- A's and B's in all the pharmacy prerequisites, but a lot of C's in my computer science classes, that's where the 2.9 comes from.

Awards:
- a few minor things that I'll add, but nothing to brag about.

My List:
1. Mass College of Pharmacy - Worcester (IS THIS IMPOSSIBLE????) ... I am a Mass resident and did grow up in Worcester - if that means anything.
2. Purdue University
3. University of Cincinnati
4. Northeastern
and ... ?

I prefer to apply to an accelerated PharmD program, like Worcester, but I WILL GO ANYWHERE!! Do I have ANY chances of getting into a program.
Is there such a thing as a PharmD-"safety"??
thanks:)

Pharm is a highly competitive field right now, especially with the starting salary of 90k+/year. You'll be competing with people who have 4.0s. There is no such thing as a PharmD safety. You have a chance, maybe a small one, but only if you apply.

You know this. What you DON'T know is whether or not you would get in if you applied, so there's only one way to find out. Will anything that anyone says on here keep you from applying? Because if it does, then maybe you need to reconsider your career choices. ;)

Yes, thanks for your advice! I know it's a tough field right now. I'm hoping for some honest feedback about my chances ... I know my GPA is terrible, so I'm not afraid of critical remarks and of course will not be deterred by them:)

So you say I HAVE A CHANCE? okay, but to which schools?
Thanks.

Now that's something I can't help you with; I'm not interested in pharm or pre-pharm so I don't know what schools are good or in range. Maybe someone else on here knows. =)

okay, thanks anyway!
ANYONE... ???

Also, will having an existing Brandeis degree give me any significant advantages over the "standard" high school applicant?
