SAT: Haven't taken, but practice tests range from 2100 - 2270
SAT 2: US Hist: 660 (yes, i know it sucks), going to take Bio, Math 2, French

SCHOOLS ON MY LIST:
-Stanford (EA)
-Pomona
-Williams
-Claremont Mckenna
-Whitman
-Amherst
-Seattle Pacific
-Univ. of Oregon

Seattle Pacific? Are you kidding? Why on earth would you even apply there given the candidate that you are??? Apply to UW or something as a safety, not SPU.

Hmmmmm...

You're from Southridge. Yes?

U of O auto-accepts residents with a 3.25 or higher... so there you go. Stanford is completely unpredictable, no one can tell you yes or no for sure, but you have as good a chance as anyone... if you get some better SAT II scores. All those LACs are very competetive, so again all I can tell you is you have as good a chance as anyone. With your high GPA (although I know damn well it's inflated in your district) and your rank, I can't see you being denied at more than two of them.

Is that actually the most rigorous courseload you can take? What about physics, chem? Aren't those harder than business, for example?

Well I'm going to be junior going into IB diploma next year too, but I take 8 courses, not six..

His school has 5 periods. Taking more than 6 would be nigh impossible.

Alright. So for SAT 2, i am planning on busting and studying to get at least 700 on each of the tests, in my opinion that is adequete to compliment my GPA and impress ADcom.

And yes, it is the most rigorous, i took AP US and got a 4 (AP US happens to be one of the hardest classes in my school)

Physics and Chem aren't my bag, so i choose bio and psych. UO and Seattle Pacific are major safeties, UO i would use the honors college..

Stanford is the one i am most nervous about, however my uncle is an Alumni and worked on campus a couple years ago, so he has some connections...

Oh and for Activites: I forgot to add that I am an active member at my church and am part of FCA, helped found the chapter at our school and am on the leadership team/council that leads it.

BandTenHut.. where do you go?

Sunset, class of 2008. =p

If SAT 2's get up and SAT is smooth, then do i have good chances to get into Stanford or Princeton (really the only two elite universities on my radar), then also possibly Penn (Wharton) or WUSTL, Duke.

What do you think? Scale 1-10 for each?

Do i have a good chance at Pomona and CMC? Also, What are the colleges that you would consider that feed into the Harvard Kennedy School of Government?!

i dont know, without your SAT and SAT 2, it is hard to judge though. Williams is an extremely selective school, did you notice that many people from CC to had perfect SAT scores and SAT 2 scores were rejected from Williams. With a 19 percent acceptance rate, it is hard. Apply early, 40 percent acceptance rate. Or apply early to Pomona.

But with Stanford, that is a huge reach.

SAT: bring to at least a 2200.
SAT 2: bring to at least 720s.

Hey, why not apply early to Wesleyan? A terrific school....

Stanford is a huge reach for anyone, but i think my SAT will be somewhere around 2200? Same with SAT 2.. Am i really that average of an Ap that it is a huge reach? :/

I don't really know much about Wesleyan? Tell me more.

Pomona and Stanford are tied for 1st however..Advice?

Why Are You Applying To Spu. Apply To Uw Instead, Please.

SPU seems like a great christian school, although not selective at all at least i can get a full ride at SPU.. UW that wouldn't happen :/

Wesleyan is a tier one college- according to the College Admissions Service- along with Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, Middlebury, Harvey Mudd, Pomona.

then apply to like Seattle U., they'll probably give you a full ride.

Are there any other good schools that i am forgetting?!
