with that said anyone have any ideas of were I should apply to?

*I will need financial aid at the school.

What year are you applying for?

If you are applying for 11th grade you are very late and I would recommend applying as a repeat 10th grader. I have heard senior year is near impossible to get into. This is just my opinion not fact!

yeah you should apply for 10th grade and repeat it. thats what i'm doing cos 11th is really hard to get into, nearly impossible.
i don't know that many schools but you could go to boardingschoolreview.com to check them out?

hope this helps

even if you apply for repeating 10th grade, it is too late in the year to apply to a school and get financial aid for the coming school year -- I don't know of any school that still have financial aid dollars left this late in the year.

well i think if ur referring to next yr (ie for fall 2008) u should look into schools like mercersburg, blair academy, peddie, etc. or try repeating a grade- that was something i did too, (because applying for 11th grade can definitely be tricky :D)

good luck! look into previous threads for more info too.

ok thank you guys for the info.

now i was wondering if i can have some more ;) .

as i have said this is my first time EVER looking into them so i will check out the schools you have mentioned sabregiel121. and yeah i am looking for a fall enterance if possiable.

my question is that you guys say i should repeat a grade? won't that look bad on a college application?

I do not beleive it will look bad since you are making the decision to do a repeat year to "better" yourself. For awhile I considered being a repeat 9th grader for fall 08 instead of applying for 10th grade but i decided otherwise. I agree with what hsmomstef said, although rolling schools might "possibly" still have fa but very unlikely unless they really want you. Take everything I say with a grain of salt!

Even for this fall you might possibly have better chances as a repeat 10th grader..... anyone else have better more informed imput?

The scca list is a list of schools with openings for next year http://www.ssat.org/membersearch.nsf/SCCAFS!OpenFrameSet
This year was very competitive. Many schools that used to have active rolling admissions after March 10th are full. You can enquire beyond the scca list because there might be others. I am guessing that getting financial aid this late is difficult.
