Furman
Clemson (accepted to Calhoun Honors school)

I think I have a good range of safety/match/reach

I think I have a good chance of getting into everything but Princeton and Duke, with those almost always being crap shoots. What do you think of my chances... Also, for schools that provide merit aid, what do you think my chances are of getting some? Thanks to all that respond

Prolly can get some merit aid at Furman.
You can get into WUSTL, but you better have shown some interest.
Rice you have a pretty good chance, they also like to see interest, ID helps a lot.
Princeton: Probably no, unless being from SC helps you a lot. You should have done ED, your chances would have been much better.
In at Wake, probably not too much scholarship money.

Are you a soccer recruit? That could get you in at a lot of these places.

not a soccer recruit. WUSTL interest has been limited due to distance, but I've done what I can. Rice has a little bit more interest as I know students there and keep in touch wiht adcoms

To others reading it, sorry for it being kind of long...

how much do you think that being from SC can help?

i think you havea good shot at princeton. drummerdude_07, why doesnt he have such a good shot? GPA is good, ECs and summer stuff is amazing. the only turn-off would be SATs

he has an ok shot.....i think i missed the summer mission trips when i read it, but......just look at the ED thread, you have to be a god and a half, and that is ED, not RD

I must agree drummer, i've seen some of the ED thread, and the kids that are getting rejected are amazing...

yes, they are amazing but so are you

hey thanks

any one else?

I know it's long...

How much do you think the senior thesis research will help?

What do ya'll think of my college list spread? Do you think I covered a good variety of schools?

I think you have a really good shot at Princeton. Congratz on your amazing stats. As for "WUSTL interest has been limited due to distance", if that means you haven't visited, that could hurt you. I think you'll probably get in anyway, but it's not guaranteed. You also have a very good shot at Duke, but you never know with such a tough school. The rest, you are in. Your list looks great.

Hey thanks for the input, I've done what I can with Washu (talking school rep) etc. I'm afraid my scores might be a little low...

Anyone else?

Anyone else applying to Princeton with similar stats?

100th post... refreshing my stats
