ok.. if this helps anyone thinking about these schools, I got my acceptance/rejection letters and here they are:
Accepted: MIT, Johns HOpkins, Duke (Pratt), Columbia Univ. (FU), Cornell U. (Eng), UM and UF
Rejected: Princeton, Yale

reflections: Low verbal scores.. my stats pretty much stayed the same when I appied.. some more awards here and there in engineering club, and Secme but pretty much the same app. ooh and I got a B in AP Lit too (Mid year).
there's more on my reflectons of the decision.. maybe my interview for P-ton could 've been better.. I think he was biased towards me because he was an eng. major and that was my weakness.

There's still hope for some URM's with similar stats.. actually there's this one girl she's African American adn was admitted to P-ton with a 1310 and lower SatII scores than mine.. she played orchestra.. and I dunno check out the P-ton RD admissions thread.
and for MIT: ImajinAzn also made it with a 1310..
remember you have lower chances w/ these scores.. retake is the best thing, but if u've something else amazing or have some other hook.. there's still a chance.
Don't give up hope yet.
Hope I helped guys

thanks..
and I kind of forgot to mention this but the same hope doesn't necessarily apply for internationals.
Most colleges are not as lenient to internationals and small factors can make a big difference in the admissions' decision's. You should look at the university's board and their rejection stats.. some really competitive candidates were rejected b/c they didn't stand out as an international. It's a different plane of competition. There was this one guy with similar stats to mine except not SW but (i think) ICHO (or some other competitive prestigous competition).. and other stuff, but he was rejected at MIT (he had relatively low SAT scores too ~1260) So , you might have to work more if u're an international.

Yeah. Though they say that regardless of citizenship, all applicants are in the same applicant pool, this is unreasonable and highly unlikely. The only reason American colleges admit internationals is for the diversity factor; they wouldn't admit a class that was majority international, no matter how qualified the international applicants are.

Actuallly I decided not to apply to Berkley because it was too far from home.. and yes I did get in to: MIT, Johns HOpkins, Duke (Pratt), Columbia Univ. (FU), Cornell U. (Eng), UM and UF , but was rejected at: Princeton and Yale
