My only non-A's were in freshman year math and junior high math, which for some reason is on my transcript

Also, if you guys know of any other competitive schools with good history programs, let me know, but mostly I'd like to see my chances at these schools.

Princeton, Yale and Stanford will all be reaches, despite the fact that you come from a farming town; I don't know that much about Berkeley, but I think you stand a good chance there. Do you have any solid matches/safeties planned?

lol yeah of course, just wanted to see about these ones

What state are you from? Depending on what state you are from, saying you are an all-state musician can mean several different levels of musical performance. Nonetheless, congrats! I play trombone and only wish i made all state.

Washington

Amazing is what I have to say.. If people like you are what I have to compete against for top universities, then I urgently need to strap myself in and work like hell.

colleges usually only care about academic courses in the 10th, 11th & 12th grade and often calculate their own GPA. They do consider your school's class rank also...

In the post right after my original post I said that:
My only non-A's were in freshman year math and junior high math

So I guess I have a 4.0 looking at only 10th, 11th, and 12th, although I've heard that some univeristies still look at freshman year grades.

Are there any ivies that don't look at freshman year?

I know that Stanford doesn't (not an Ivy, I know, but it was on your list!) :)

Oh and add Dartmouth to the list, forgot about that one

your rank actually might work against you, but you obviously have a shot at all of the schools you mentioned

Yeah, it's weird..........I'm below all of the people who get all A's in shop and FFA......... I wish our school weighted

Princeton does not look at freshman grades

I would say your chances are good. Your stats are similar to mine, and I got into HArVarD early action. Best of luck, write good. <~~~do not emulate. My scores are better and my class rank, also, but you have more athletic involvement which is a real bonus.

How much will my rank hurt me? Will they take into account that it is not weighted?
