Chances at Princeton?

I was going to, but I read that more often than not, it can just backfire unless you're the donor's child. Almost look like you're just reaching for anyone and everyone you know to try and make yourself look good.

Maan...USA kids really have opportunities.
Look at me ... I am international
Luckily I am in a school where there are a few clubs running. Trust me of all the schools in my city only mine (and one anther) encourages ECs.
Then...no matter how much community service you do...your only discouraged...they say that you dont get anything out of it...but they aint applying to US colleges either.
And then my school possibly has the most toughest grading scale ever in this whole world i think.
Luckily my guidance counselor knows this and mentions it in the school rport (BTW my school is the among the few with a guidance counselor)
here's the grading scale 75% and above in your exams means a rough GPA of 3.75 and ranks in the Top 5%. THis year one got 81% the highest!!!
And then you talk about job experiences and internships. DUDES my country is filled with unemployed people. they are ready to do anything to get paid. How do you expect me to find a job just so that i could mention it in my apps.
Its so difficult to fill out these apps you know.

Advantage: OUr teachers cant write recommendations. So they ask us to write it and they sign it blindly. :-)....but we do tell them the officiall procedures....they still wont agree to write them though

Well, I'm at an inner city public school here in the states. Compared to schools just a few miles away, we might as well be in a different country.
