Chances at RD Engineering?

<p>I have chosen not to do ED, because I need a shot at MIT, and because I'm not sure if I like CMU or Cornell better. I'm just too indecisive to RD here. I love it so much though. Could I still possibly get in, even if I'm doing RD?</p>

<p>APs: Physics 5, Spanish 5, Eng. Lit 5, taking 4 more this year. (this is more AP tests than anyone else in my grade took, I self studied for spanish because my school doesn't have AP)</p>

<p>-I'm the school's stage manager and technical director and I was the lighting operator for 2 years, I've done over 10 plays</p>

<p>-I've done volunteer technical backstage work for some famous dance groups and the waterbury symphony orchestra</p>

<p>-I'm in charge of my school's FTC robotics team and I was the coach last year</p>

<p>-I've volunteered over 800 hours at a nonprofit art center where I do management stuff and also teach classes (getting a rec from the executive director). I work there over the summer paid co-running their entire summer program and teaching</p>

<p>-built a telescope for fun</p>

<p>-Math and science tutor</p>

<p>-Physics Olympics (nothing big)</p>

<p>-I've done Summer@Brown for materials engineering and NC State summer program for materials engineering as well</p>

AP Scholar (only one in my school), CAPT advanced scholar (state award, also only one in my school), national merit possible semifinalist but I'm right at the cutoff (highest score in my school), bausch and lomb science award, best math student award two years in a row, wellesley book award, won a state award in theater</p>
