Thanks to all in advance.

You have a great chance. Good SAT score as well as EC’s. Especially since you excel in math and science, you are the ideal student for pre-med. Good luck!

You will probably get in. How you’d manage to get a 3 in human geography though

You have a great chance of getting in. Just know that Rice is very unpredictable with its admissions and the best way to tackle it is with a holistic application.

Great chances

Looks solid - hopefully you’ve taken those pesky subject tests or have the ACT plus writing to fill that requirement.

idk about Rice. i feel that some high schools are more competitive than others: i had a 5.56 GPA and was ranked 76/613 and most of the people ranked higher than me in the senior class this year didnt get into schools like Rice. mainly because Rice considers GPA and NOT rank when evaluating eligibility unlike UT or TAMU. your ECs will probably make up for it though but I don’t know about your GPA. Rice might look at the 5.52 unweighted over the weighted cause you’re in state…

Thank you everyone! @marie122 , what do you mean about the GPA? Because my uw gpa is 3.95 and the weighted is the 5.52

Sorry messed up the terms. But I feel like Rice (because its not a state school) will look at your GPA over your rank. And your rank’s great but if your were up against people from my school, for example, you’d have lower chances. No offense though. I guess what I’m trying to say is that we have about the same GPA but the difference in our ranks is strongly noticeable. And because Rice tends to look at GPA over rank, it might hurt your chances a bit.

Oh okay. Thanks

but you should definitely apply! no harm in trying right?

yup
