What are my chances at Rice University? I have a 3.63 unweighted and a 4.3 weighted. I am in the top 10% of my class. I play tennis and violin at the state level competitively. I am a member of Interact Rotary Club, Beta Club, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Science Club. I hold no leadership positions, but I showed initiative by running for Mu Alpha Theta President, National Honors Society President, and Interact Rotary Club President. I got the second highest number of votes in all of those elections, so people look at me as one who would make a good leader. I have over 100 hours of community service. Honors include the 2010 Yale Science and Engineering Award at the 2010 Louisiana Science and Engineering Fair, 2nd Violin in the 2009 All-State Orchestra, 6th place Algebra 2 at the 2008 Louisiana Mu Alpha Theta Convention, Honorable Mention at the 2008 Baton Rouge Magnet High School Science Fair, Honorable Mention at the 2009 Baton Rouge Magnet High School Science Fair, 2nd Place at the 2010 Baton Rouge Magnet High School Science Fair, 2nd Place at the Regional Science Fair, 3rd Place in the Greater Baton Rouge Tennis Championships, 7th place at the 2008 Riverside High School Mu Alpha Theta Tournament, 2nd Place at the 2007 St. Paul's Mu Alpha Theta Tournament, 12th Place Algebra 2 Log 1 Math Contest, and others. I have a 35 ACT and a 2310 SAT. I got 800 on both the SAT 2 Math Subject Tests and a 780 on the SAT 2 Physics Subject Test. My GPA could be much higher but I went through a lot of adversity during high school. I broke my arm in the 2nd semester of 9th grade, had bronchitis in the 1st semester of 10th grade, had mono during final exams week in the 2nd semester of 10 th grade, had 2 family friends die in the 11th grade, and fell sick a lot in the 2nd semester of 11th grade and had trouble catching up on work. I showed improvement fro 2010. Could you please tell me my chances? Thanks.

I also got 5’s on both the Calc. AB and BC exams. I also took college credit courses in American Literature, U.S. History, and Physics since I took them as honors classes at the high school level since I couldn’t fit many AP classes into my schedule.

You have very little chance at all.

Whereas this is neither in the “What Are My Chances” nor “Rice” forum, and it is formatted such that it is virtually impossible to read, I would say your chances are less than stellar.
