Chances at San Diego state university

Hi, so I recently applied to sdsu I'm out of state with and intended major in international buissness. I have a 3.77 gpa w I've taken mostly ap and hounrs courses. I'm a first generation American. I got a 1160/1600 on my sat. I wanted to know if had a good chance a bad chance or if I shouldn't waste my time on getting into this school

It sounds like a good fit for you to me. I don’t know how much being out-of-state affects your chances, but the scores look good enough. What was your SAT out of 2400? Extracurriculars? Anything else that could make you stand out?

I think its a long shot.

SDSU looks only at your 10-11 grades and only a-g (college prep) classes. They also cap your weighted GPA by only counting 8 semesters of bonus GPA. For most people, that takes their CSU GPA down.

Calculate your CSU Index by going here: <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

OOS, you’ll need 4200+ to get in.

Good luck.
