Chances at Schools! + merit aid?

I'm a Junior starting to seriously look at colleges. I've got a few ideas swarming around but none of them seem realistic without some kind of financial aid. If I don't end up with any money I'll probably go to my state school, (which i really like) but I deffinatly want to try my hand at some of these first. I'm really not sure how much need based aid i'll get though I'm sure it will be something. I was wondering what you guys thought my chances were of getting into some of these schools and possibly getting some money because I know alot of them offer good aid especially to african americans.

Any replies would be great

bump bump..

first five are reaches b/c of SAT score and gpa.

you should get money at umiami.

thanks, anybody else? Any idea what SAT would be needed to make those reaches matches?

bump......

I don't think Georgetown gives merit $$ either...

Your profile looks great, and you really can't make too many of those reaches true matches...just write the best essays possible and hope for the best! I would be surprised if you didn't get into 1+ of the reaches.

If you can get above a 700 on all sections of the SAT, that will look a lot better. However, I agree w/ mocha....for the top schools the only thing that would make you a "sure thing" is that in addition to great grades, scores, essays, etc. you actually came up with the cure for cancer.....you can see that throughout the threads here for the rejects.... Good luck and stay on course...you'll have lots of opportunities and choices to make this time next year.
