okey doke, everyone...here are my stats. i'm pretty stressed out about this whole thing, so if you guys could just tell me what you think about my chances at the following schools, that'd be great! (i understand that most of the schools on my list are pretty extreme reaches)

GPA: 3.897 unweighted, 4.48 weighted (mostly honors and AP courses)

Test Scores: SAT I- 660 M, 770 V; SAT II's- 760 US History, 730 Writing, 780 Literature; Received Letter of Commendation for score on NMSQT/PSAT

E.C.'s: Class President, Peer Leadership, NHS, 3 years of Field Hockey, member of school district's Strategic Plannning committee, Drama Club, summer volunteer work, part-time job as buser at local restaurant

I also received a couple of academic awards.

So here is my list of schools...based on the above, do I have a chance at ANY of them? (I feel like I'm being unrealistic; i realize anywhere else i'd probably be a good candidate, but i come from an EXTREMELY competitive public high school)

Dickinson College
Dartmouth College
College of William and Mary
Williams College
Davidson College
Colgate University
Haverford College
Mt. Holyoke College

Dickinson (match)
Dartmouth (reach)
College of W&M (match)
Williams College (match)
Colgate (match)

dont know the rest. you should be able to get into william and mary with those stats, especially if your a male oh but wait your a female? (just saw the field hockey).

Another good school with a strong field hockey proram is Holy Cross. Holy Cross also has a better location than most LAC's- only 1 hour from Boston.

davidson is a reach unless you are being recruited, it is a very academically oriented school with HUGE emphasis on sports, they want athletes to be able to beat the local duke blue devils, wake forest demons, north carolina tar heels. so if you are that great of an athlete than it is a saftey for you, if not its a long reach
