<p>Chances at Schreyers. Our school has a pretty good acceptance history there. If I were to get rejected from schreyers, I'd be the most qualified candidate from my school to be rejected from schreyers in the past 5 years.</p>

-SGA General Assembly (but only 12th grade so...)</p>

-Total of 520+ hours community service (ranging from volunteer in hospital lab to volunteer tutoring to big time participator in relay 4 life)</p>

-7 More Clubs (im a member of all of them but I hold no leadership positions)

Recs: Not exactly ridiculously amazing but definitely unique
Essays: My 1st essay was a narrative with a huge plot twist, and my counselor said I did an unbelievable job showing how much I wanted to go to schreyers in my 2nd essay
Fluent in Farsi/German (have stayed in both Iran and Germany for extended periods of time)
US Dual Citizenship (US + South African)</p>

however, keep in mind that apps are up (2400 this year vs. 1400 two years ago).
I know kids last year who were accepted at Cornell and JHU and rejected at SHC.
Good luck! It's a good program. More fun than an Ivy anyway :)</p>

<p>theres so much more to a school than its prestige. Yeah, I'm applying to ivy leagues but schreyers literally has everything i want in a school.</p>

<p>Strong education, highest pre-med graduation rate in the nation, great parties, huge student body, beautiful location, great advisors, great food, great sports teams and school spirit, scholarship money, great dorms</p>

<p>you sound pretty confident that you'll get in, so why are you asking us? i would bet money on it that you will. and i bet you would too.</p>

<p>and i agree with what everyone has said .. why no ivies?</p>

<p>oh and to sandyrun - psu gives out very little scholarship money, and the freshmen dorms suck =P but it still is the best school ever</p>

<p>My son is there on a full scholarship. Many indiv. college depts also give out good scholarships. Your description in post 6 made me smile. That's exactly right. This was my sons safety. He is outrageously happy and doing great things.Lots of Ivy level kids there but I know you know that. Good Luck</p>
