I’d say it’s a reach. The Claremont colleges are quite prestigious and competitive.

Scripps is quite a reach. If its your dream school (and you haven’t applied yet) you should apply ed and retake the act or sat (increasing your scores will be critical for getting in).
Good luck!

Reach; aim for 30+ on the ACT or 2050+ on the SAT

Try Mt. Holyoke instead.

Hi @emilylake I’m a senior at Scripps College.

I don’t really see the use of using the words like reach, super reach, and match etc - because you just never know what the office of admissions at Scripps or any college is looking for each year.

I am a very poor test taker, and was not on the high end of the scores on the ACT/SAT. This being said, I still got into Scripps. This is just an example of how Scripps takes a very holistic approach to their admissions process. Scripps looks at the particular fit of the student, as well as puts a particularly high emphasis on personal essays as well as an interview if you had the chance to go through one. Just because your test scores may not be as “high” as some other applicants, does not mean that Scripps will not chose you over other students.

I really hope you applied! It never hurts, and you never know what could happen. Good luck!
