I was actually wondering what my chances are at getting accepted into the following universities:
NYU
UC-Berekely
UChicago
Boston University
Boston College
Northwestern
Cornell

Here are my credentials:
Junior at a large, highly competitive, public high school in Kansas
My parents moved to America from Pakistan; I was born in the U.S.
GPA (unweighted): 4.0 (all 'A's since freshmen year)
GPA (weighted): 4.5 (this is what I project my GPA to be by the end of first semester senior year)
Class Rank: top 3% (in a class of about 550)
ACT: I haven't taken the ACT yet, but let's assume I score a 29
AP/Honors classes: AP English (9, 10, 11, 12 grades), AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP American Government, AB Calculus, Honors Pre-Calc, French IV (which counts for college credit at my school)
*I will be taking the AP tests for the classes above next spring and the spring following next spring. Let's assume I get a 3-4 on my AP tests.
ECs:
Orchestra (7th-12th grade)
Debate (9th-12th grade)
Forensics/Speech (10th grade)
French National Honors Society
National Honors Society
Hospital Volunteer (about 200 hours)
President's National Service Award (twice; both bronze)

If you need any additional information, let me know. Please note that some of these figures are projected because I am only a junior in high school. Any comments, suggestions, and advice is greatly appreciated!

don't project ur scores, take the SAT then ask for ur chances, from the looks of it u might go to BC, BU, northwestern. cornell, uchicago and nyu gonna be slightly tough

No way can anyone project chances w/o actual SATs, SAT IIs, or ACTs. Did you take the psat? If you're a 4.0 UW, shouldn't that correlate to higher acts than 29.......

.......AP English for 4 years? Did you fail the class every year or something lol?
And why are you predicting such low AP scores. I can understand ACT and SAT , but APs are easy to study for (easier than 'reasoning' tests at least) and easier to get 'perfect' scores on (5).

flopsy, I don't know why you think UCB is a safe match. Her "projected" ACT score is only a 29, not does he have many leadership positions or EC's that are extraordinary.

NYU - Match
UC-Berekely - Slight Reach (OOS)
UChicago - Slight Reach / Reach
Boston University - Match
Boston College - Match
Northwestern - Reach
Cornell - Slight Reach

4.0 GPA doesn't always necessarily correlate (assuming linear) to a higher ACT or any standardized testing scores though. I've known people with 4.0s that bomb their SATs and other tests. (and a 2-3's on APs while getting 4.0s in the class and it wasn't the teacher's problem either).

Good luck with your schools. Out of those I'd aim for Cornell.
