thanks those who responded...
namaste, maybe they are typical i dont do anything outstanding but can you tell me what I can do to stand out...i think its too late anyways but just as a heads up...thanks

nah, nothing you can really do to stand out. but dont worry! pat yourself on the back! you did well. in fact, if you came from an underpriveleged background, i'd even have respect for you!

You know, even if you Ec's are horribly typical, you can still make them stand out. Admission officers arent just looking into the ECs statwise- they want to know what you got out of it, how it changed you, all the good stuff they want in an essay. If you could bring out a unique perspective or show them that you really do enjoy it for something unique to your personality, it changes all of the "horribly typical" EC's into Your EC's. Remember, think of it college admissions like a lawyer- your evidence is all the work you've done since freshman year to prove that you're worthy of matriculating into whatever college you want. The hardest and only really changeable part now is your presentation- it's always presentation of the evidence to the jury of admissions officers that changes the tide. Make sure you get awesome rec letters that show not just what you did but who you are- tell the writers to use personal stories about you that gives an "inside look". Also, the essays have to show that the EC's are not typical to you.

Good luck, from what I can see, you've got fair chances if, as I said, you present it all correctly.
