chances at SFS in 2 years?

<p>rising junior
caucasian female
from suburban Colorado neighborhood
attends big public school, known for academics/extracurriculars
IB diploma candidate, 5 IB/AP classes per year since 9th
4.0 unweighted, 4.7 weighted, no class rank but approx. top 5%, no Bs</p>

<p>PSAT 214 sophomore year, took ACT freshman year and recieved a 32</p>

<p>extracurriculars: debate captain (10) and varsity LD debater (9-10), choir officer (10) and in choir for 2 years, Colorado Youth and Government page (9) and representative (10), cofounder and officer of Fashion for a Cause (10), NHS (10), member of Amnesty Int'l (10)</p>

<p>outside of school: ballet (for 8 years, "apprentice" in youth ballet company), girl scouts (silver award, leadership awards, gold award candidate)</p>

<p>awards: Rocky Mountain Talent Search for ACT score (9), National Spanish Exam (5th in state - 9), numerous debate awards (9&10), "outstanding representative" in Youth and Government (10), selected to attend Conference on National Affairs (from Youth and Government applicants - 10), outstanding achievement in social studies department award (10)</p>

<p>summer activities:
National Debate Institute, Washington, D.C. - between 9 & 10
Conference on National Affairs - between 10 & 11
Yale Ivy Scholars Debate Program - between 10 & 11</p>

<p>this past year, as a sophomore, i took:
IB Elementary Functions/IB Calculus
IB LA 10
IB/AP US History
IB Chemistry I
IB Spanish 4
+choir/gym
i got straight-As</p>

<p>next year (junior):
AP Calculus BC
IB LA 11
IB/AP World History
IB/AP Chemistry II
IB/AP Spanish 5
+choir/music theory/IB theory of knowledge</p>

<p>i took AP US History this year, will take: AP Calc BC, AP World Hist, AP Chem, IB Chem, AP Spanish, IB Spanish, possibly IB World Hist, or may wait & take IB History of the Americas HL senior year... depends on other classes.</p>

<p>let me know what you think of my chances at being accepted into SFS in 2 years... or what else i should be doing until then that would point me in that direction...</p>

<p>i'd have to say you're on the right path to sfs. just make sure u keep those grades up and when the time comes to write the essays for ur gtown app, put time & effort into them. they want to see ur character. and being aware of global events and/or ur place in them really helps as well. i.e. reading the economist, ny times, foreign languages, appreciation/exploration of ur heritage, etc.</p>

<p>wow..thats a pretty awesome set of stats you got there...like ajfrocky said..youre on the right path to sfs..or anywhere else you apply.</p>
