GREAT recommendations and essays (wrote about my strong liberal leanings for Smith :-P )
I also have ADD which I put on my applications...
Any kind of reassurance that I will at least get into college will help, any specifics would be great too, thanks and good luck everyone!

And I forgot to say, I've already been rejected from NC State EA, if that helps :-/

bump bump!!

I think you will get into Smith. The writing SAT II will stick out - they insist on good writers (and don't put much emphasis on SAT Is at all.) The rest - well, it really looks like you fit. Had an interview yet?

The music scene at Smith is WONDERFUL!

Thanks for giving me feedback, I reallly appreciate it :) I haven't had an interview, are they required?? Do you recommend one? And I was also thinking about sending Smith a supplemental paper, like a collage about me and what I would contribute to the school. Some of my friends are doing that for their colleges and I was wondering if that would be appropriate/helpful. Any thoughts??

Admissions at Smith are highly individualized. Interviews are recommended (and if you can't visit, they will try to set one up where you are.) (They know from experience that if they can get an applicant to visit, they can compete with anyone, including the Ivies - the trick is getting folks to visit.) They have a firm policy in place, on order from the Pres., to de-emphasize test scores. They pretty much tell you what they want right on their website (about a dozen times) - "Heady, Nervy, Intellectually Exciting". If you can show you are, you'll get in - without it, nothing else will matter.

what school in northern va?
