I don’t attend an ivy league school but looking at your stats and comparing them to people at my public high school you have a really good chance into getting into any of the 8 ivy leagues, although its difficult . It’s all going to come down to your essay to distinguish yourself, showing passion in the writing. There is a girl in my class who got into Princeton early decision and this spring she got into Stanford. I HIGHLY SUGGEST youdo early decisions as the admit rate increases significantly for some ivys. I can’t tell you though if for sure you’ll get into a particular school. My friend got denied into Cornell and got into Princeton. Admissions are kind of like lotteries I can’t tell you how many people with stats similar to yours are denied. The difference I see between your stats and others is your ap scores if you manage to get what you listed above then your chances skyrocket because they would be remarkable because some are self studies, your sat 2s would be good at 750+. On forums I’ve seen that most of the denied Harvard applicants have a few 4s and 5s. the admitted ones have stats like yours. Keep working hard and when you write your essay try to focus on one thing. although they like well rounded people find your life’s passion and right about it to distinguish yourself.

First of all, don’t bother retaking the ACT. It’s not worth it.

Secondly, whats your gender? Ethnicity? Will you be applying for financial aid? Will the aid package be a big determining factor in what school you attend?

Are you attending an elite HS?

Assumption: Asian Male
Well, academically, you’re quite set and almost as academically qualified as you can be. Good rigor, gpa, score. You have a fair amount of awards/accomplishments. And while they aren’t particularly outstanding, they’re solid and demonstrate high competency in areas of Math/Science. Leadership, while not a strength isn’t totally lacking. All-in-all ECs aren’t amazing, but you have achievement to compensate a little.

There are still some variables that would be helpful if you provided such as how competitive your high school is (does it send a lot of kids to ivies?) and what your rank is (are you val, sal, close?) and, lol, are you actually an Asian Male like your ECs yell to me?

You’re in at UCB and in very good standing for Cornell. As everyone knows, HYPM are very fickle. Assuming the best (that you are at/near the top of your class) you certainly are in the running for maybe one of those.

I’m number one in my class and my school rarely sends kids to ivies, maybe 1 on a good year. And lol my ECs are pretty solid for the opportunities available to me thanks, i’m not in the best socioeconomic state. Not to say that your critique isn’t duly noted, just defending myself.

I’m an indian male, born and raised for a few years in india, my high school is a public high school in central illinois.

Thanks for the responses guys, bump?

I’m hoping for Harvard with a less appealing resume. If your application goes over well (especially the essay) you should have as good a chance as anyone

0 problems with your stats + ec for any school. Just apply and roll the dices like thousands of qualified Asian males every year.

You are so set at berkeley. Nice to know you have that option.

looking good, you definitely will get into a couple of ivies

Id say you will probably get into Cornell, but not definitely. MIT an HYP are reaches but You will definitely be a competitive applicant. You may get into none of MIT and HYp, one or two of them or all of them.
