Chances at some Southern schools!

Hey, chance me please, the schools are (in order of preference):
Elon U
Vanderbilt
George Washington
Wake Forest

SAT I-
V: 800
W: 720
M: 600

SAT IIs-
Literature: 760
US History: 710
Spanish: 630

ACT- 32

GPA- 3.72 weighted (top 15%)

Classes- Almost the most difficult curriculum offered at my school, with mainly Honors classes except in math. I have 5 APs this year, and last year I had two (Spanish 4 I got a 3 on the test, and US History I got a 5).

Extracurriculars-
foreign exchange in South Africa for 6 months
Girl Scout Gold Award (my project was sending 300 lbs of donated school supplies to S.A.)
National Merit Commended Scholar
I'm yearbook editor
I work at a bakery (just counter help)
and I've done lots of random community service.

My essays so far have been pretty good, my teacher recs should be very good, and my counselors are pretty incompetent so who knows what they'll do, lol.

I had an interview for Vanderbilt and I think it went really well.

And I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I have cousins at Elon and GW.

Thanks so much guys! =)

bump...
thanks!

Elon U - in
Vanderbilt-in
George Washington-in
Wake Forest-in

Why Elon is your top choice ?

Really? In at all of them?
I want to go to a small school in a small town, and I'd rather not be somewhere really competitive. But of course, Vanderbilt has the name, GW has internships, and Wake Forest...well...it's close to Duke and UNC. ;)

Anyone else?

go to elon :)

I'd say "in" at all of these. However, I am most familiar with Elon and Wake as I live in NC. All these schools have their positive points.

Elon does not have national recognition (while other 3 schools on your list do).

vanderbilt is a high match rest are safeties. why dont u apply to emory? if u like the small town field, u can go to oxford college first 2 years, then xfer to emory for the last 2. ul get the small town rep + the rep of emory.

I say ur in all, go to GW

Elon may not have the recognition of the others, but has gotten more selective with each passing year--also has honors program. I haven't heard of a student yet that didn't love their experience there.

You may want to select based on what your intended major may be---which school offers more in that area. Or what type of campus do you want? Elon and Wake both offer small classes, no TA instruction, close relationships with professors. I'm not sure of class sizes at the other schools. GW has the surrounding city and all it has to offer.

OK, one more question...should I apply to GW for Arts and Sciences or Elliot? I'd like to major in international affairs, but I don't have any 100% safety schools, so I'd hate to jeopardize my chances at a match by applying to a more competitive program. What do you think?
And thanks so much to everyone who answered. =)

In at all. Congrats.

Which one is your top choice?

Should I apply to Emory?

Deadline was a week ago if your applying for Fall 07, but it sounds like your kind of school. The main university is big, but not too big. Average class size is 18, and you'll never have TAs teaching you. If thats still too big, then you can do your first 2 years at Oxford College, which is Emory's other campus, and then transfer back for your junior and senior years.
