Chances at some top places....

<p>Guys,
I am from Taiwan, studying in the international school of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. I have been in the international school since the fourth grade (I am now in grade 11). During grade 9-10, I was doing the IGCSE course from Cambridge University, and now I am doing the IB diploma and here are the courses that I am now taking:
-English Standard Level
-French Standard Level
-History Standard Level
-Mathematics Higher Level
-Biology Higher Level
-Chemistry Higher Level
-Theory of Knowledge
-CAS and Extended Essay
My averge GPA is about 4.1~4.2. (about 3rd in ranking) For the Old SAT I got 1400 (V: 610 M: 790) and planning to take the new one (planning to acheive 2150+ on the new one). I'm expecting about 800 for Math IIC, 770+ for Biology M and 750+ for Chemistry. My TOEFL result was: 650 PBT and TWE: 5.5. And I am anticipating excellent recommendations from my teachers.
My grades are: (1~7 highest)
-English Standard Level-7
-French Standard Level-6
-History Standard Level-7
-Mathematics Higher Level-7
-Biology Higher Level-7
-Chemistry Higher Level-7
-Theory of Knowledge-6</p>

<p>I am now the leader of the concert band and string ensemble of my school, and I have participated in Model United Nations in Seoul and Beijing. I have taken music exams from the Associate Board of Royal Schools of Music, and passed grade 7 violin and grade 5 theory examinations.
I have been accepted into the summer school at Harvard University and Cornell.
I decided to attend the summer college at Cornell; it is a research program in biology and I am one of the only 6 admitted into the progam; it was very competitive.
I am planning to major in molecular biology.</p>

<p>How are my chances at:
Harvard/Princeton/Yale (with ED?)
Stanford/MIT- for MIT I don't need SAT I because I am an international student! (with ED?)
Columbia/Brown
Cornell
University of Chicago
the UCs
UT - Austin</p>

<p>Thanks for you guys' help.</p>

<p>Jared Chen</p>

<p>HYP-reach
Standford-MIT reach
All th rest of Ivies are reach.</p>

<p>Being in the IB program may raise your chances a slight amount, but not as much of a hook then many IBers think it is. </p>

<p>Also, the summer program in Cornell you mentioned...what is it called, exactly. I'm not familiar with one that only takes 6 individuals... that must mean its more competitive then RSI?</p>

<p>The Cornell program is called "Research Apprenticeship in Biological Sciences", which only admits 6 students to work with the profs in labs, and produce research papers suitable for publications. Is RSI the Research Science Institute at MIT? I don't know if it is more competitive than RSI, but to me RABS sounds more interesting. What do you think of my percentages of getting in are, with ED/EA, for the top places like HYP and Stanford/MIT? Because I don't really think that I am good enough for HYP, because my SAT score is not very good. So is IB diploma helpful and to what extent?
Do you think doing the RABS program at Cornell would be a "hook"? The website for RABS is: <a href="http://www.sce.cornell.edu/sc/explorations/bioresearch_rabs.php%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.sce.cornell.edu/sc/explorations/bioresearch_rabs.php&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>
