What do you think my chances are for Stanford EA?

I also want to do MIT, Penn, and Northwestern RD. What do you think about those?

i would say better than average
but the things stanford does in their admission process is very unpredictable...
so no way of knowing.
percentages are useless.

I think you'll probably be deferred, but your chances of getting accepted at some point aren't bad. Everything is very good, but nothing really blows me away.. make sure the essays show how you're unique.

It really amazes me what getting into college has come too....

I mean you're obviously smart with your chess accomplishments, and when our parents were in highschool being smart was all you needed. I mean, yes, they needed to do some work, but even Harvard students didn't need to devote their entire lives' to getting in like they do now.

Do you think you are good enough at chess that you would be taken for that? Seems like that might seal the deal for you. If not, you are an above average applicant but no shoo-in.
