I hate being international. If you are not in science school,
the school would not be aware of science festivals and such.
Besides, US has so many competitions that I wished to
participate. But the truth is, Korea has only one exam for
Biologist - Olympiad!!! (Hellish - hard)
Other Information: Under-represented Minority? no
Location: Other
All AP course in senior year

Biologist - worked as an researcher for 2 years

I go to one of the most competitive schools in Korea, and
almost all of the kids I know does better than I do.
I worked really hard for biology, and I got Bronze Prize in
national competition.

This GPA thingy is killing me. I got straight Bs in mathmatics!
I get several Bs all the time, and man, the ranking seems to be desperate..

Hey, do you think that I'm gonna knocked down by GPAs?

I submitted patent for biological material.
It's a small thing, but I will probably get the patent on that.
Do you think that sucks?

Exactly why whould having something patented suck? Your stats are stellar, but you should really add some safeties to that list of incredibly competitive schools.

And tone down on the arrogance.

I think you might have a chance at Harvard. That tells you where you stand on the others. :P

''I go to one of the most competitive schools in Korea, and
almost all of the kids I know does better than I do.''

Mhmm.... sure you got a 750 writing?

Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford, Harvard University, Princeton University are your reaches the rest are matches or lower =D

Jesus dude, don't worry..I'm sure someone out of HPSM will accept you..

how come you aren't trying for Yale? just curious bc a lot of people who apply to Harvard + Princeton try that other school to complete the HYP

Endoplasm:

UCB: Match (out of state)

Thanks guys. Sorry if offended.

all are matches.

For an international? Hardly.

Endoplasm has very strong stats and excellent ECs/awards (yay, Bio Olympiads!), but even a U.S. citizen with a resume similar to Endoplasm's shouldn't expect to have an incredibly wonderful chance at making every school on that (very elite) list.

Although I will hand one thing to you: the pursuit of a patent is going to be a big help. Just off the top of my head, I'd say JHU is the least of your worries (possibly along with Berkeley, Brown, and Columbia).

And a 3.85 generally isn't going to keep you out of the top colleges, especially if taken in the context of a rigorous courseload. At least, a 3.85 has yet to keep -me- from getting into my colleges. :)

dunno if i'd like to hear u singing, but dude great stuff.

what's your patent about? how'd u come across it etc

im just curious since we're all around 17/18 and some of us would like to know the brain wavelength of an inventor :P
