I hate being international. If you are not in science school,
the school would not be aware of science festivals and such.
Besides, US has so many competitions that I wished to
participate. But the truth is, Korea has only one exam for
Biologist - Olympiad!!! (Hellish - hard)
Other Information: Under-represented Minority? no
Location: Other
All AP course in senior year

Biologist - worked as an researcher for 2 years

I go to one of the most competitive schools in Korea, and
almost all of the kids I know does better than I do.
I worked really hard for biology, and I got Bronze Prize in
national competition.

This GPA thingy is killing me. I got straight Bs in mathmatics!
I get several Bs all the time, and man, the ranking seems to be desperate..

Hey, do you think that I'm gonna knocked down by GPAs?

Does your school rank? If not does it do percentiles?

It doesn't rank, and it has no percentile ranking.

But, school has some kind of percentile system.

lol, "biological activity".... ;D
You have a shot, just write good essays... etc. You know. But yes, your grades are in the range and your activities seem pretty impressive, considering that some of them are international. I know being an international and non-URM sort of sucks, but give it a shot! good luck!!!!

do you have any "safety" schools?? cuz thats quite a list there...

Nope, I don't have safeties yet.
Sort of reckless list, eh?
I didn't think of safeties yet, because I'm junior now.
Still, better start thinking about it. Any ideas?

Try UMich, UVa OSU Honors, RPI, RIT as some match/safeties
UMich has excellent engineering and might give you $$...good chance for a near-full-ride at Ohio State

민사고? 부산과학?
you did so much despite being in korea
i hope you get in

Wow, I second alohasam89. Good luck!

good grief, if you write good essays, i honestly don't think any of those schools will reject you. Your list is AWESOME.

Ya you'll get into most of these schools, if not all. But it seems that you are very into biology, so you shouldn't really want to go to Brown or Princeton. If/When you get accepted look at Harvard (obviously), JHU (would be my 1st choice) especially if you apply/get accepted to med school undergrad, and definately Stanford.

but how did you get 1 3.8 GPA if you get straight Bs in Math???

homeless, maybe he/she got As in everything else

4=A
3=B

Say 7 Subjects ? 6 x 4 = 24 and 1 x 3 = 3, making the total 27. Divide it by 7 and Voila! 3.857

If you write great essays and show a specific passion in them, I'd be surprised if you didn't get into all of those.
