Chances at Stanford? REA or RD?

Hi all, I'll be brief and short: on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is definite reject and 10 is definite acceptance, what would you rate my application?

Here are the details:

Scores: 2280 SAT, 35 ACT
800 Math II, 760 Biology, 740 Chemistry
Transcript stuff: 2nd rank at public high school
APs: took 10 + 3 more senior year, most are 5s and 4 are 4s (AP Calculus AB/BC, Biology, Chemistry, Macroecon, APUSH, Human Geo, Stats, AP Lit/Comp)
Common App Essay: About my identity and trying to figure out myself from experiences growing up as bicultural (had voice)
Supplements: I wrote about the most off the wall things but since that's kind of my personality, I think it was an accurate and personal portrayal of myself.

Recs: Hopefully good? One science and one math and/or english

Awards: Intel ISEF Team 1st place and Finalist, Siemens Semi-Finalist, project presented at Cornell for science conference, published paper (pending review) in high school paper, Harvard Book Award, etc

ECs: Swim Team Captain Varsity 5 years, Debate and Stud Gov't member 9th-10th grade, NHS 11th and 12th grade, Science/Technology Club President 9-12, NPO Founder and President

Accomplishments: Awards + opened a lab for middle school students, and started NPO focused on bringing clean and affordable and safe light to places that need it.

Volunteer/Work: I also have 300-400 hours from various stuff throughout high school. I also play piano at my church for sermons pretty much all four years in high school.

So what do you guys think? What am I missing? What do I still need to improve my chances? for yall, I am taking the SAT again for ****/giggles just to see if the score improves btw. One more thing, regular decision or Early Action? Thoughts?

Thanks College Confidential Community

I can’t rate it, but I am sure you are qualified. If you are really interested in Stanford then you should apply REA.

I have personal knowledge of people with similar stats, awards and ECs being rejected as well as others (with slightly lower stats and lesser ECs) who were accepted. In other words, you’re in the ball park; but, cast a wide net and you will wind up in a great college.

You’ve probably read this, but I’ll post it anyway:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/1420290-chance-threads-please-read-before-posting-one.html

You’re certainly competitive academically, and that’s about all that anyone can tell you.

At this point, all you can do is work on those essays. Frankly, I think that they make or break applications. The essays that stand out really are those in which a student’s voice is apparent, so discuss something about which you care in a writing style that reflects your own voice.

You seem to be lacking a passion for something. Stanford explicitly says that it likes to admit passionate people, though I don’t think that everyone is passionate. So your best bet is to be yourself. They can usually tell if you’re trying to “manufacture” a fake passion in your essays.

If Stanford is, in fact, your first choice, then you should apply REA.

Agree with aleaiactaest, although I don’t see you necessarily lacking a passion. Just be sure to focus on a specific passion or interest in each essay rather than throwing in too many. If you can try to tie your essays together
