I am applying RD to NYU for Fall of 2014 and I want to know how good my chances of acceptance are. My SAT score is a 2140 with 750 writing, 710 reading, and 680 math, and my ACT score is a 30. I am retaking both tests within the month and expect a significant increase, especially on the ACT. I am on route to being either val or salutatorian as of now and I have a 5.6222 unweighted/3.9796 unweighted gpa. My high school is very nontraditional and by the time I graduate, I will also have my AA degree from my local community college and over 85 credits. For extra curricular, I am parliamentarian of the college's debate club, a member of brain bowl, nhs, and indian students association. I am president of a cultural/community organization outside of school and have 270 service hours. Can anyone tell me if my chances of getting into Stern (for accounting and finance dual major) are good?

Wharton is also on my list but it’s my reach school. Any knowledge on my chances there will also be appreciated. Thanks

your school worries me a little bit… talk to them and ask where they send students… the fact that you are a possible valedictorian and ur gpa is so high… yet you have a 2140 with a 680 in math is alarming… i think youll be fine for stern… wharton is a reach…

i am applying to the same schools as you this year… good luck!

Thanks for responding! I completely blanked out on the math section, I know for a fact I can do much better.

are taking it again this weekend?

i think we might both end up at stern and be buds…

Yeah, taking it this weekend. Haha, that would be something
