<p>Well I just sent my application in today, figured I'd see what everybody thought.</p>

<p>I'm a transfer student, African American male, NYS Resident. Currently enrolled in the honors program at a community college, GPA after a semester is a 3.38. </p>

<p>SAT I: 620m/770v
SAT II: 730 writing/710 Literature/610 U.S History</p>

<p>My real problem here is my H.S grades, my average was in the 70s, but I'm hoping they will focus on my huge upwards change in CC and my test scores. Anyways, I'd be interested in what you guys think my chances are, or any similar schools you think I ought to check out.</p>

<p>Oh, I'm also applying as a prospective English major, not sure if that makes a difference.</p>
