I have no extra curricular activities due to working a lot at the same job since eighth grade, and also programming for the iPhone including an app that solves equations that are commonly used in chemistry. I have only an 86 average so far in high school and am about to finish 11th grade. I have no APs, but am taking AP Stats, english, and government/economics next year. I got an 1800 (610 Math, 600 Reading, 590 Writing) on my first try for the SAT. What are my chances at schools like University at Buffalo, Stony Brook, Geneseo, and Binghamton. I want to study and retake the SAT and aim for a 2000+ because I did not prepare the first time. My top choice is Binghamton, will I have any chance if I do well on my next SAT? Thanks in advance.

UB: Match
Stony Brook: High match
Geneseo: Match
Binghamton: Reach

Are you sure CUNYs aren’t for you?

Are you basing that off of my current SAT score or my projected SAT score? And is there any way I could get Binghamton to be a match?

Bing is an unlikely with that GPA. My best friend was waitlisted with a 2060 and a 87 (Bronx Science). The GPA was what hurt him. He’s going to Stony.
Stony will probably take you if you raise that SAT. Same with Geneseo.
Best of luck!
