Chances at Temple University or comparable schools

Hi, I’m planning on applying to Temple University next year. I’m currenrly a junior in high school and I was wondering what my chances of admission would be.

My GPA right now is about a 2.5. It’ll be about a 2.6 by the end of junior year and I could possibly bring it up to as high as a 2.8 by the end of the first semester of senior year. I know my GPA is low and I am to be blame for that, however I do attend an extremely competitive high school in New York City (one of the three “specialized NYC high schools.)

I’m taking the SAT in March but I know that I’ll do well on it. At least a 1300 probably closer to 1400 or even higher.
ECs aren’t anything special. Film club/sports analytics.

Thanks

I’ve been accepted to Temple with a tuition full ride and based on your current stats, I would say it’s 50/50 right about now. It all depends on how rigorous your classes are, along with how well you actually do on your SAT’s. I would suggest you join some clubs and try to take a leadership role, along with studying for your SAT’s and aim to achieve that 1400 and you’ll be good. Just try to get that GPA up as best as you can senior year.

Thanks for the reply. I am taking a bunch of AP’s and I’ll definitely be studying hard for the SAT.
