Hi,
I’m a senior at an extremely competitive public school in Houston. My GPA as of now is a 6.21 out of a 6.5. (6.5 is only attainable when taking all AP courses or else highest is 6.0). I’m in the bottom of the first quarter. My ACT score was a 27 and my SAT an 1880 or 1230 on CR/Math (For those who don’t know automatic into TAMU is 30 on ACT or 1300 on CR/math on SAT) I am going to continue to take these in hopes that I will improve and get the Academic admit (I just took the ACT again in September and get my score Friday). I know A&M likes applicants who visit a lot and I have gone many times to all sorts of events they’ve hosted. I’m involved in many activities in clubs, organizations, and charity events at school and out of school, played volleyball for 3 years, and have a couple leadership positions In addition I began my own jewelry business on Easy and run it myself. If I am unable to raise my test scores (hopefully I am able to) what do y’all think my chances as a review applicant are? Couple more things: I applied to Mays business, I am a TX resident, I’m in NHS, I’m hispanic, I’ve only taken Pre-AP or AP courses throughout high school (AP courses: APUSH, English 3, Biology, Calculus AB, and DC English 4) . I applied August 1st and had my transcript and everything in August 15, and I would be a third generation Aggie if that helps at all!
