How would I do currently in the Ivies? I want to apply but am not expecting any acceptances. I also want to apply to UVA and Emory (50/50 acceptance I think) and Georgia Tech (probable acceptance I think).

Other questions: The SAT was my first and only time taking it (this past December). Should I take it again to validate the score? Should I try and improve my writing? Also, will the PE type classes and Art classes hurt my chances at HYPS or show me to be well-rounded?

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Josh

Edit: forgot to mention my rank is 22 out of 517 right now, and I'm hoping to improve but it's a bit late in the game. Valedictorian (already clinched I think) has a 102.4

You have a strong chance at UVA, Emory and G-tech, and you can probably get accepted to all three. Ivys...i'm not so sure about. You have the grades and SAT score, but schools like HYPS look for something more than that. That's not to say you won't get in...because you really never know...but I just think that those schools are slight reaches for you.

I agree with sak09
