I was just accepted with almost identical gpa and sat. Since youre instate you should have no problem getting in. keep up the extra curricular involvement though.

Thanks for responding, any other insights from others?

based on these stats you have a good shot at getting in; essays are very very important to uva its you’re only chance for them to see something concrete you have done for them (i got rejected EA lol)

Thanks for the response, anyone else?

I was accepted Early Action Out of State. I had similar grades, although I only took the ACT (31). I think that you look good for getting accepted, especially being an in state student (they have a sort of quota I believe), but make sure that your essays are well written, that would definitely put you over the top.
That all being said, I am not an admissions officer and I saw some people that were rejected/deferred with better scores and etc. than me. If you want to look, there is a thread for EA this year. You can see some of the results of people who have been accepted/deferred/rejected. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-virginia/1256202-uva-early-action-applicants-class-2016-a.html
Good luck!

If you have a 3.9 unweighted GPA your grades must be great, and your course rigor sounds strong too. Overall I’d say a great chance. The only thing to work on is your SAT math; your reading and writing are excellent. Also, be sure to take a couple SAT subject tests. The leadership position you’re planning on in NHS sounds good. Good luck-- you have a strong chance.

One note: don’t get too obsessed with 1 particular college. I did and it made the first half of senior year terrible. You’re going to have some great options next year wherever you go. I know this is easy for me to say but it’s true.
