...I really don't feel like explaining right now, but I just found out that my transcript has a 3.00 GPA weighted instead of what it should have been: 3.34 weighted.

Again, I don't feel like explaining now, but I might later.

I do have safeties, but I care not to list them. Thanks.

Ya i guess your right...Your SAT scores put you in the range of all the schools you're applying to...So if your GPA was around 3.7-3.8 then you have decent chances for all...So as of now all the colleges look like high matches to low reaches...i dont know how you have a 3.0 gpa with a 2030 SAT (which is over the 90th percentile i think).

Longhorn:1) you are being really optimistic; I mean a 50 chance at wake with a 3.0 weighted?2) GPA does not show how smart somebody is. It shows how much you wish to work for your grades. SAT can be taken without preparation with plenty of success (not saying that shows how smart you are either).

Anyway I say match at furman with a high reach at wake forest. Don't know anything about the others.

My counselor said I could easily get into furman if I wanted to apply when I had a 3.2 unweighted. Also your SAT is pretty good so that will help. Applying to upper schools though your SAT is just average. Its unfortunate that it is to. I think a 2000 or above should be seen as great by all colleges but its not. Sorry if this post is kind of somber. Also I'm going to assume that you have a fairly high rigor which at the start goes above the actual GPA.

Woops probably should have read the fine print. I didn't really think about the weighted vs. unweighted thing when making the post and also assumed that since you posted the courses, that you were taking a pretty rigorous course for your school. Well I guess its a reach then.

I purposefully made bad grades in a few classes the second semester of my junior because I made C's the first semester and my counselor recommended to retake the classes online. My counselor told me the grades I received online would replace the bad grades on my transcript.

So I retook a total of 4 semesters of various classes replacing bad grades with A's.

With the bad grades replaced with the A's, my GPA would 3.34 weighted and my junior year GPA would be like 3.70 weighted (strong upward trend).

However, I just saw a copy of my transcript that was sent to all of my colleges and the A's I got by retaking the classes did NOT replace the bad grades. And not only did the A's not replace the bad grades, but the A's merely went on the bottom of my transcript and didn't even count towards my GPA.

This was clearly a mistake by the transcript lady at my high school, as she was supposed to erase the bad grades and replace them upon confirmation of the grades I got by retaking the classes. She obviously didn't do this.

So I'm basically screwed. Correcting the mistake is pointless because the damage is already done -- my colleges have already seen the bad grades.

...I guess this turned out to be more of a full story than a summary, lol.

In my opinion, you have a chance at getting into a bunch of these, however your GPA is a little low. Your SATs are very strong though, so I predict that at least one of your target/reach schools will accept you, seeing something more than your grades. Good Luck!
