Alright so I'm a senior in highschool looking at going into the engineering field. I've already been accepted into University of Central Florida, and University of South Florida, but am q little nervous about University of Florida, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. Could you guys help me out a little.

My stats are:
3.6 recalculated college GPA (AP/Dual Enrollment student)
25 ACT (29m, 23r/e, 25s, and 8 out of 12 on the writing)

-Future Business Leaders of America:
-Placed at competitions three years in a row
-District VP and President
-chapter Officer for three years.

-Two years of Track and Field, placed in districts
-Model U.n.
-100 volunteer hours
-Started my own donation drive

I’ve only taken 4 ap classes but like I said I also did a year of college. And my 3.6 is neither, it’s a common recalculated GPA most Florida schools look at, which is a huge misconception about how the average gaps at some of these schools are so high… but yea thanks :)

I honestly woke up one day, and realized “It’s the end of my junior year! , What college am I going to?!?!? ” . I always knew that I wanted to major in Mechanical Engineering, but had no idea about what school I needed to go to, to pursue that goal. I literally was going to “spray” my college applications, by applying everywhere that looked appeasing to me, and just take my chances with who gave me the biggest money offer, or had the best experience and education to offer. Cappex was amazing for me because it showed me what chances I had at different schools based on my then GPA, Extra-circulars and Test Scores. In saying that I saw what was considered “competitive” and adjusted all of those, but ESPECIALLY my Test Scores. Just the simple fact that I went from getting a 1510 on my SAT(510M,500R,490V), to a 25 Composite on my ACT(29M,25S,23R&WR). Of course just looking at these figures you can see I moved myself in a whole nether category. I did however still get denied from two schools I applied to, but still got into the college I really wanted to go to(Florida State University). But back to the real reason about this review. Cappex was an extraordinary tool in my college search because it had REAL and accurate student reviews, which helped me look at academics, reputation, types of students, tuition, chances of getting in, social life, Dorm Life, FOOD!, and possible Scholarships. But overall I enjoyed using Cappex, it put me LIGHT YEARS ahead of my friends and peers at school, kept me informed about what schools I might be interested in, and allowed me to accurately apply to the colleges I wanted to go to and hurry up and get Accepted and be proud to call myself a FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLE!
