I talked to an admission officer few months ago. She said they only take the highest score and they don't care how many times you have taken the exam.
So, don't worry about it. From my research, anyone with SAT more than 2100 or ACT more than 31 and GPA 4.2 or higher has good chance to get into good private school. However, even you have perfect score and high GPA doesn't mean you will get into every private school.

yea i agree. if a valedictorian can't get into UW there's a problem. obviously Harvard, Yale, MIT and Stanford are all reaches. but i think Cornell penn johns hopkins, duke and uchicago are all doable.

Ok thanks guys! I guess hope for Penn and Cornell lol.

-Taking AP Statistics, AP English Literature, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics this year

-martial arts for 11 years (really a mix of stuff from kick boxing to Kyokushin Karate) and have a 1st dan (black belt) in Tae Kwon Do at the dojang I've been going to for the last 6 years
-Tournament Team at Dojang
-Junior Instructor at Dojang
-Demo Team member of Dojang
-Solo Piano for 12 years, Adjudications, Washington State Concerto competitions, got a few awards, etc.
-National Music Teachers Association Adjudications and Honors Recital Honorable Mentions every year for past 6 years

-volunteer at a hospital (treated like an employee, and I have done about 100 hours, plan on doing 200+)

Teacher Recommendations: Very flattering recommendations and being a pretty humble person I found them to be almost embarrassing.

I've already applied to most of these:
-University of Washington Honors
-University of Southern California
-Johns Hopkins
-Yale
-University of Pennsylvannia
-Harvard (already sent me an interview invite not that an interview means anything lol)
-University of Chicago
-Duke
-Stanford (definitely want to get in here. MUST GET IN!!!)
-Caltech
-Washington University in St. Louis
-Cornell (possibly)

I may want to go into medical school in the future.

Bumpety bump

Ping pong club & martial arts may not help your chances. Be careful how you present martial arts as some might view it as a negative. Stress the discipline required for martial arts & piano. The service academies would like your martial arts achievements.

My common application essay was about how martial arts and especially a notable figure of martial arts (Bruce Lee) influenced me to be more driven/hard-working and I talked about how I incorporated many of the philosophies of martial arts into my life. Hopefully that is what you are talking about. And I will not be applying to a service academy because I am against many of the things the US is doing right now with its military. And why would they have something against martial arts? Are they against the Chinese, Korean, and/or Japanese cultures that pervade many of the traditional martial arts that I have taken? What's wrong with learning to fight?

bump someone want to give me advice on some other colleges I might want to apply for?

I'll chance you if you chance me. Someone? Anyone?

I think you have a good chance at all the schools you are applying to, the number of times you took the SAT doesn't really matter because most colleges just look at the highest scores.

You sound like an all round good student, and that is what, in the end msot colleges ae looking for, not who has the SAT score or GPA that is a few points above the next guy. Just make sure you portray in your applications and you will have as good a chance as any.

You've got a decent shot at all of your schools, and they're all in your league. CalTech, Stanford, Harvard, and Yale are obviously going to be tougher, but you still have a very good shot. You'll go somewhere amazing, I'm sure ;)

I think you have a good shot for any of the schools but it is a really tough year with strange admissions

Update: UW already accepted me (wow that was fast I sent it in on Dec. 1st regular decision). So, if I am rejected from all the other schools at least I have a decent school I can go to. ;P

Scores and GPA are great, and your ECs are good. You can never say for sure, but I think you have a very decent shot at all the schools mentioned, with the exception of Harvard and Yale (high reaches for everyone)

colleges (especially the ivies) are insanely hard to get into this year. i live in oklahoma and at the school of science and math, only 1 girl got in early admission to a really good school (mit)
