Hey there,
Anyone up for chancing me? I am currently considering applying to top-ranked US grad schools for chemistry (roughly: Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Caltech, Scripps, Yale, Chicago, Cornell, Princeton).
My profile:
European student
2 BSc in biology and chemistry from relatively unknown continental university (both with honours).
Master’s degree in chemistry with distinction from top 5 UK university; ranked first of my year (equiv. GPA 4.0).
2.5 years of research experience in biology, chemistry and computational physics.
2 papers published in 5+ impact factor journals (2nd and 3rd author out of 4 and 5).
1 year of experience in pharma R&D (took a gap year between graduation and applying to grad schools).
3 letters of recommendation from academics and industrial project supervisors ranging from very prominent to up-and-coming (although most likely unheard of in the US).
Usually very good a writing compelling cover letters and research proposals.
GRE:
- General: Verbal 157 Quantitative 160 analytical 4.5
 - Chemistry: 807

Thanks.
