you look a lot like me (except I had an ACT of 31). You need those scores up. To be frank, you won’t get in with that. Though I may be biased, I’m surprised you’re not applying to Brown since you’re a prospective neuroscience major. Anyway, you have a good GPA. The only thing I’ve noticed from Florida admissions is that they tend to pick from the same schools. idk if that helps or hurts you. Even with that being the case, people get in from different schools. Scores up, your probability to get in is probably a little above the acceptance rates of each school (as is most people’s chance)

This is the logic for EA, not ED. EA at competitive schools like Stanford, Yale, and Georgetown is no easier than RD, but ED does increase your chances because schools know you will attend if accepted. “Lower” reaches–Duke, JHU, Dartmouth, LACs–have higher acceptance rates than their RD counterparts (often notably higher than RD).

Keep your Matches and JHU, unless you get your SATs 2300+. And apply ED if any of these schools really interest you, but if you have trouble making decisions, ED is not the way to go.

i know this isnt the SAT prep section but is there something im missing for the reading and writing sections that all other CCers know? lol i just cant break 600 on the real SAT while on practices all of my maths are 800 and reading and writing are usually 720 or 730

plus do you think id do better on the ACT naturally? ive never even taken a practice but i plan on taking the September ACT

also i probably will add Brown to my list. and probably no ED because im not sure for any of them

Huh…you’re welcome to PM me for SAT advice (I’m no xiggi, but I fared pretty well and have some advice from my tutor. I just don’t want to spam this thread with it). But this is strange. Are your practice tests real College Board tests?

I don’t want to be to harsh, but even towards the other posters, I fail to see how Georgia Tech, whose rankings for engineering fall right behind Caltech, MiT, Stanford, and Berkeley - is a safety. GA Tech is difficult to be considered a safety for anyone.

^ ^ i have friends who got in there from here and with scores and stats similar to mine, some even less. idk

Interesting. Were they in state?

from florida lol
