Chances at top schools?

CHANCES AT TOP SCHOOLS?

Thank you in advance for reading my lengthy post. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Caucasian Male, Class of 2013
Benjamin School -- Private High School in Palm Beach, Florida
Attended Poly Prep (private high school in New York City) before moving to Florida as a Junior.

- SAT: 2070 overall (770 Grammar, 600 Math, 700 Reading.) -- taken only once

- SAT II Literature: 640
- Will have taken 3 APs going into Senior Year (will take 4 APs Senior Year)
*Note: school did not allow Freshman and Sophomores to take APs. Due to the reputation of my school, my academic schedule would be considered challenging.

CAREER PLANS
- I am certain that I will be a U.S. History Major. Although my resume is weak in some areas, I believe my specific credentials in history are (hopefully) second to none at the the high school level.
- I plan to pursue graduate study in American history, the social sciences (specifically politics) and law.
- I then hope to use my history background to become a lawyer or somehow involved in politics.

SCHOOLS I AM APPLYING TO:

Vanderbilt

Georgetown
- Both parents went to G'town and donate a significant sum of money to the school each year.

Johns Hopkins
- Perhaps the school will feel obliged to accept me after giving me the "Johns Hopkins" award in order to uphold the integrity of the award? Just a thought, any feedback would be helpful.

Dartmouth

Washington & Lee

Davidson

UVA (University of Virginia)

UNC (University of North Carolina)

Boston College

Wake Forest

Richmond

University of Texas - Austin

Tulane

As you all know, it is difficult to determine once's chances by simply viewing an online profile. Even a simple "ballpark" estimate would be greatly appreciated. I had posted a similar thread a few months ago. This one has updated scores, information, and college list.
Thanks again for your time.

Just FYI - I am in a position where tuition cost is not consequential. Thanks.

Bump,…

I think your extracurriculars are great enough to get you into the schools that you listed, even JHU. The one thing that could be a knock against you is your SAT score, and maybe your SAT II lit. You might want to consider retaking them.
Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1374448-chance-incoming-junior.html

bump. Any opinions, even if its solely on one school, would be appreciated. Thanks

UT austin is almost guaranteed if you would play on a sports team. Since you said you might play division II UT austin will be a reach. This is probably because it accepts most people from Texas. Also, most of their admissions go to top 8 percent and usually these students have much higher SAT scores so when you apply to UT austin or any other public school that is out of your state, try to emphasize your athletic ability. I would say you have better chances going to private schools than public schools. Especially big ones like UT or UNC.

bump — Thanks for opinions so far. I initially had UT as my safety so perhaps I am underating it.

bump…

Math SAT is awful and will make it a lot harder to get into all of those schools.

Bump
