Chances at Top Schools

Hi, please rate my chances. I had an injury this past season for water polo and my 100% chance at Harvard polo is around 50/50. Please consider me as both a recruit and a non-recruit. If I am a non-recruit I plan to stand out in research and being an Eagle Scout (if that’s worth anything). Thanks in advance. Also, sorry if it’s kind of long.

btw, I'm not sure if the Eagle Scout is worth anything.

As far as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, etc...I wouldn't say you have a definite shot of getting in because no one really does. I will say this - our valedictorian got into Harvard but his resume was not as impressive as yours. He's strong academically, but he doesn't have a lot of extracurriculars. You're very well rounded and that should get you in most places. The fact that you are (were?) a recruit in addition to everything else is awesome, because yeah, there are stupid recruits. But if you can have someone who will help the school athletically AND academically, well...that's just a winning combination.
You should have a lock on the UCs, since you're in-state (not the highest in-state acceptance rate, I know, but you seem a lot better than the average Joe applying to UCLA).
If you don't get in to any of those schools, it's just some weird fluke, but you will hopefully get into most (or all) of them. And hey, if Yale rejects you...go to Columbia, or Brown, or Harvard, or Cornell....etc. It's not like you'll be taking a step down.

Good for you.

how did u take the new sat when it has not even been administered yet
ne ways if those stats are correct, you have an extremely good chance of getting in
the only thing you now need are outstanding recs from your teachers and a great essay
