Possible Major: Economics

Considering applying to...

Duke (ED), Emory (Emory Scholars), Georgetown, Stanford, Columbia, Princeton

reject all :)

Duke (ED): Reach
Emory : Match
Emory Scholars: Not sure about this
Georgetown: Low Reach
Stanford: High Reach
Columbia: High Reach
Princeton: High Reach

You need to add some safety schools

ahhh...I had thought Emory would be a safety

Don't worry there's some hope...not a lot though if you don't have any safeties.

Your stats are good and your ECs are nice. I say Duke (ED), Emory, and Georgetown are very possible with good essays and luck.

Hope for the best for at Columbia, Princeton, and Stanford =/

Chance me back kthnxbai.

I think you're in at Emory. You read like a lot of kids who may or may not get into the really top schools. It will be luck and packaging. The Harvard like summer programs are cheesy and I'm told adcoms hate them because they cost too much for their kids.

super impressive course load.

Ahh...thats kind of depressing about the summer programs because i've been on full financial aid for them... so its not just money

bump 10char

bump 10char

....how can you be president of both Young democrats and Teenage Republicans? that doesnt work

I think your sure in for Duke ED. If you get rejected because the admission office is screwed up that day, add a few safety schools incase but I think you got a good chance at all of em.

ahhh...i wish i could edit that

Your probably in at Duke and Emory...everywhere else is a slight reach.

bump10char

once you get into Duke ED, the rest won't matter.

Wow, why is everyone being so negative on him? Reading his stats, I felt as if he has a good chance with this list. Yes, the packaging will matter. But he has high scores in multiple standardized tests, good ECs, good grades. Stanford and Princeton are hard for anybody- they will be looking for that special something. But, I feel as if he has a good chance at the rest. I would probably put in at least one more highly reputable school that accepts quite a few of its applicants. (U Chicago would fit.) And one or more true safeties. And make sure that these schools are affordable.

i wasn't negative. he said Duke ED, so no point in giving other chances if i think he'll get in there.

mmm... UChicago...I go back and forth based on the things I hear about "fun".

bump10char

your EC's seem very weak relative to your scores. I'd say definite reach at top schools because of this.
