UVA
UNC
Duke
Georgetown
Davidson
Wake Forest
Washington and Lee
Vanderbilt
Emory

legacy at Vandy and Wake.

Duke - Reach
UNC - Reach
Virginia - Reach
Georgetown - Reach
Vanderbilt - Match
Emory - Match
Davidson - Match
Washington and Lee - Match
Wake Forest - Match

b.....u.....m.......p

Bigred - Duke and UNC are reaches, UVa, Georgetown, maybe Vandy and Emory are lesser reaches to matches, others are probably matches (match equal at least a 50-50 chance, so not a lock).
You need safeties, although I doubt that you will completely strike out, but you must be forearmed.
Comparable students from my DD's class at another AL private school are going to Vandy and W&L.
ED will be a big boost at W&L and Davidson, possibly Georgetown and Emory, depending on if you choose the larger vs small school route.

You really need to try to cut down your list, based on size, program, distance from home, etc, what ever is most important to you - you will do a much better job on apps if you can clarify what you want. DD looked at about half the schools on your list in person, and considered all of them on paper, she found that she had strong preferences about size and atmosphere after visiting.

Good luck to you.

thanks! which ones did she like after visiting?
