Chances at Tulane EA, please!

<p>noncompetitive highschool in midwest</p>

<p>GPA: 3.72W 3.65UW (4.333 weighing scale for block scheduling, do the figuring (it sucks))
with freshmen year removed: 4.1W 3.9 UW (very high upward trend 3.2->3.8->4.1->4.3(project hopefully--less laziness tentatively)</p>

<p>Rank for EA: probably around 14-15%</p>

<p>Most rigorous course load for 11th and 12th grades (Counselor said it; it must be true!!11!one)</p>

<p>Your ACT and GPA alone would qualify you for the DHS if you do the little project that's required. Do it--and make sure you meet the deadline (check the website; the year my son applied it was December 15)--and you should do very well.</p>

<p>X - Show some interest and you're in. Congrats on your terrific record! I second above posters who suggest you begin looking at the various merit scholarships Tulane is known for, and MORE IMPORTANTLY which majors Tulane favors for it's scholarships. Definitely apply for the DHS, the application for which is due in November or early December (if I recall correctly). Good luck!</p>
