I applied to Tulane early action, and was wondering what people thought about my chances. Here are my stats:
SAT: 1580 (superscore)
GP: 4.0 (unweighted) + 17 AP classes (4.6 weighted at my school)
Extracurriculars: NHS President, Golf Team Captain, Therapy Dogs International Volunteer and Trainer, Math Team, 2 Research Internships (University of Florida, Florida State University), Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (2018), Junior Classical League (State Second VP)
Thanks!
Your stats are great, but decisions come out in an hour and 15 minutes, so a chance me from randos is probably not going to do you much good.
As with my daughter - with high stats like that - great risk they will defer just to make you go ed2. I hope not. Good Luck!
Daughter just got deferred. She has a 1460 SAT, an UW GPA of 4.0, 4 APs, decent EC’s
Seems kind of weird. Already admitted to Georgia and Clemson. Comments? Not to mention, we have connections to the area. Wife (her mother) is from New Orleans.
I hope they don’t play games like that - deferring high caliber kids in hopes of drawing out some EDII’s. Some of us don’t consider financial aid packages as “insignificant details” Its a “must know” - in advance. Interest is waning.
Tulane was at the top of her list, but by the time we hear from them again, I’m pretty sure she will have fallen in love with another offer yet to come. April 1 is a long way off. We’ll be hearing from 2-3 other schools plus financial aid packages before that.
