ECs:

-camp counselor during the summer
-volleyball: freshman, sophomore, and junior year
-varsity soccer: freshman year
-track: sophomore year
-cheerleading: sophomore year
-tutor for algebra: sophomore year
-member of student advisory council at my high school
-30+ hours volunteering at local hospital since junior year

What is the likelihood that I will get into Tulane? I am considering applying SCEA to increase my chances further. Would this help?

@adrahos3‌ - I would say your chances are good. The 32 ACT is stronger than the SAT, but both are very good. The GPA is low, but judging by the much higher weighted GPA you seem to have taken a fair number of honors and AP courses, which helps. SCEA does definitely help, and writing a strong Why Tulane statement is also very important. Get your application in within the next few weeks and you might hear back before the end of October.

Good luck!

EA, by definition, shows Tulane some love…but show 'em a little more. As fc said above, write a great “Why Tulane” piece! Find out as much as you can about the school (or if you already know a lot, excellent), and refer in your essay to those things that are important to you.
