I'm currently a freshman at a community college in Massachusetts and I'm looking to transfer to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for fall 2011.
So, can anyone tell me if I have a chance? I just have no clue.
Thank you.

This post says it’s been read 25 times, and no one has replied. I guess I got my answer! Thanks everyone and good luck!

Don’t assume that lack of an answer implies the negative. Perhaps the members viewing your post are just not familiar with the transfer thresholds for U of I?.

Although U of I does not quite make the grade of some of the elite schools as ranked by US News, if you look at the rmost recognized nternational rankings that are published, as I recall U of I is considered in the top 20 or 25 Universities in the US (or perhaps the world). It is also a fairly challenging admit, even for accomplished students with highly competitive stats. So in my estimation, with your grades, you would have a challenging time.

But I am sure if you contacted the admissions office they would be happy to provide you with more solid data in regards to GPA of transfer students. Good luck though.

I’m not exactly Familiar with the transfer admissions but if that’s 1350 of out of 2400 then it will be a decent reach for you because your gpa isn’t super High to make up for it. But if the sat is a 1350 out of 1600 with ur gpa I think you would have a decent/good chance of getting in. Either way I think you should apply be you never know what the person reading ur app thinks so you may just get lucky enough and get in. So apply and goodluck I hope you get in. Also I believe u of I also has a few other campuses that are a little easier to get into so you should also look into those.
